The original intention of building the party

After the victory of the Russian October Revolution in 1917, Marxism quickly spread throughout China. After the May Fourth patriotic movement, the revolutionary intellectuals who first accepted Marxism Leninism, such as Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Mao Zedong, Dong Biwu, etc. In exploring the way to save China, Chen Duxiu said in a conversation with Li Dazhao that we must build a party, have a strong Leadership core, establish an advanced party armed with Marx, and a proletarian party that can lead China to the bright and enable Chinese people to live a good life. Chen Duxiu also showed Li Dazhao his original intention of founding the Party at that time. For the sake of these suffering people, for the sake of making them live like human beings, for the sake of their rights, happiness and dignity as owners, for the sake of making them no longer displaced, for the sake of making them live a prosperous and happy life, for the sake of making the poor no longer bullied, for the sake of making everyone be the master of their own family, for the sake of educating everyone and teaching less, Old age has its roots, for the prosperity and strength of the Chinese people, and for the rejuvenation of the nation.

The Origin of Festivals

As the birthday of the CPC, July 1 was first proposed by Comrade Mao Zedong in May 1938. At that time, Mao Zedong put forward in his article "On the Long War" that "July 1st this year is the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the CPC". This is the first time that central leadership comrades have explicitly stated that July 1st is the anniversary of the birth of the Party. At that time, only Mao Zedong and Dong Biwu were the founders of the Party that had participated in the First National Congress in Yan'an. They recalled that the First National Congress was held in July, but couldn't remember the exact date of the meeting. Due to a lack of archival materials, it was temporarily impossible to verify, so July 1st was designated as the anniversary of the birth of the Party.

Festival History

In early February 1920, Li Dazhao risked sending Chen Duxiu, who was arrested, out of Beijing. On the way, the two agreed to plan party building organizations in cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, known as South Chen and North Li, to establish the party. In April, with the approval of the Communist International, the Russian Communist Party sent Vikings Ski and others to China to meet with Li Dazhao and Chen Duxiu. From May, Chen Duxiu invited Li Hanjun, Li Da and Zhang Guotao. More than 50 party members including Mao Zedong participated in the party building conference. During the meeting, it was discovered by the spy halfway through, and the meeting was forced to be interrupted. In July, they transferred to a cruise ship at Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. The representatives used their identities as tourists as cover to discuss the political situation, basic tasks of the Party, organizational principles and structure of the Party on the cruise ship. According to the Party's program, it was officially named "CPC" to "adopt the Dictatorship of the proletariat to achieve the goal of Class conflict - eliminate the class", "abolish capital Private property", and unite with Communist International. The meeting elected a leading organization, with Chen Duxiu as the secretary of the Central Bureau, Zhang Guotao in charge of organization, and Li Da in charge of propaganda, which also marked the establishment of the CPC.

Festival significance
